Innoform and European Rotogravure Association announce innovative partnership

ERA press release

Munich/Oldenburg, Germany – December 2023. Innoform GmbH, a recognised provider of flexible packaging testing services, and the European Rotogravure Association (ERA), the leading international organisation for the gravure printing industry, are pleased to announce their new strategic partnership. This cooperation combines the strengths of both organisations to test services and events tailored to the specific needs of the gravure flexpack industry.

The cooperation will focus on events such as conferences, workshops and seminars, where topics such as gravure printing technology, innovative packaging solutions and current industry trends will take centre stage. In addition to the events, the partnership will offer extended testing services, including specific migration testing (SML), overall migration testing (OML), sensory analysis, colour fastness, microbiology and customised testing for printed packaging.

The ERA, founded in 1956, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting users of the gravure printing process. Its aim is to promote gravure printing wherever it is used and to contribute to the healthy continuity of the gravure printing industry.

The collaboration with Innoform, whose test service focuses on the food industry, packaging manufacturers, their suppliers and the retail sector, will bring together a wide range of expertise and services.

Innoform, known for its expertise in barrier films, biofiolics, digital, gravure & flexo printing, inks & adhesives, recycling, labels & sleeves, film analytics, food law & migration, stand-up pouches and thermoforming, will further expand its gravure technology capabilities through the partnership with ERA.

“This partnership with ERA enables us to offer our services in Europe in a more targeted manner with ERA and thus contribute to increased safety, especially for food packaging,” explains Karsten Schröder, CEO of Innoform.
