Event Selection Helper: Find your training even faster and more precisely

Inno-search

Finding the right training can be time-consuming – especially in a dynamic and specialized industry like flexible packaging. To make finding events easier, we have integrated a new, AI-powered search tool on inno-talk.de: the Innoform Event Selection Helper. This allows you to find exactly the right training events to cover your current information needs.

What can the new search tool: INNO-search do?

Unlike classic keyword search engines, which often only deliver exact matches, our new tool utilizes state-of-the-art semantic search (RAG technology). This means for you:

  • Understanding of context: You no longer need to know the exact seminar title. Just enter your topic or your question (e.g., “increase shelf life of biodegradable films”).
  • Multilingual queries: You can ask your questions in your native language (e.g., English, German, Spanish, French, or Italian). The system understands the context and recommends the most relevant German or English seminars, web seminars, and Inno-Talks.
  • Diversified results: The search doesn’t just list exact dates but also suggests related topics and technical publications that complement your query.

The technology behind it: Intelligent and constantly learning

The Innoform Event Selection Helper is based on advanced artificial intelligence. In the background runs a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system, combined with state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) from Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude). These systems translate your search queries into mathematical vectors to understand not just words, but the actual meaning and intent of your question.

And: our system is constantly learning.

  • Unsuccessful searches are analyzed: If a query yields no or too few results, our AI analyzes the query in the background.
  • Automatic synonym suggestions: The system automatically suggests new synonyms, technical terms, and translations weekly.
  • Curated learning: These suggestions are reviewed and approved in the Synonym Manager. This enables the search to understand new technical terms, abbreviations, and packaging-specific jargon better from week to week.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the Event Selection Helper

In which languages can I ask questions?

You can write your query in almost any language. The AI understands the content and recommends matching German and English events. If you ask in a language other than German, you will be suggested English events. However, you can easily adjust this using the language filter or a manual selection.

Do I have to enter exact technical terms?

No. Thanks to modern vector search, the system understands the meaning behind your query. If you search for “monomaterial”, you will also be shown relevant events for “recyclable pouches” or “PE films”.

How does the search learn new words?

Our AI logs searches that did not return any results and suggests new relationships (synonyms) on a weekly basis. Once approved in the Synonym Manager, the search will recognize these terms immediately next time.

What is the search scope?

The AI searches through our events. This includes all formats such as the popular, free INNO-Talk, conferences like the INNO-Meeting, but also seminars and web seminars. In addition, there are hundreds of recordings that we also display below for immediate viewing.
